Agents for engineering operations
A PM agent that manages Jira and Confluence work, a DevOps agent that watches CircleCI and audits pipeline config, and a CI triage agent that tells flaky failures from real ones. Built on the Claude Agent SDK and Managed Agents.

ltx and eng-toolkit
The org's shared CI/CD layer — CircleCI orbs, reusable GitHub Actions, pre-commit standards, and a CLI that keeps docs, wikis, and CI config in sync across repos. Alongside it, a Claude Code plugin marketplace for CI repair, repo governance, and Jira workflows.

Azure, Terraform, Datadog
The Azure platform as code — Entra ID, Container Apps, Key Vault, API Management — in Terraform. Datadog monitors, dashboards, SLOs, and security posture defined declaratively. An AI gateway on Container Apps with per-team budgets and cost attribution.

Notes
Day to day
- Automation
- Most of what I write is tooling: CI config, scripts, agents, Terraform. If a task comes up more than once, I build the thing that does it.
- Metrics
- I keep DORA and flow metrics on the teams I run. They start conversations; they aren't a scorecard.
- Quality gates
- Lint, tests, coverage, secret scanning, and branch rules run in CI on every repo I'm responsible for.
- Documentation
- Runbooks, wikis, and decision records for everything the team owns. A lot of it is generated and kept in sync by tooling.
Experience
Where I've worked
Oct 2025 – Present
Senior Manager, DevOps & Platform Engineering
LocumTenens.com
Lead Platform and Quality Engineering. Own the budget levers — AI spend governance, CI/CD cost analysis, vendor selection — alongside the Azure estate in Terraform and the org's shared CI/CD.
Sep 2021 – Jul 2025
Senior Engineering Manager, DevOps Lead
Michelin Connected Fleet (formerly NexTraq)
Managed DevOps, mobile, web, API, DBA, and QA teams and helped grow the group, including a nearshore team. CI/CD work brought delivery time down around 30%, and rolling out New Relic roughly halved recovery time.
Oct 2020 – Sep 2021
iOS Mobile Architect
FlorenceHC
Started the mobile platform from a blank slate, had a hand in the API design, and looked after the Atlassian setup along the way.
Sep 2019 – Oct 2020
Engineering Manager, Mobile (iOS & Android)
NexTraq
Led mobile engineering and leaned into DevOps practices. Reusable CircleCI orbs and better caching brought CI time down quite a bit.
Jul 2016 – Sep 2019
Lead iOS Developer
Greenlight · Roadie
iOS development and release automation with Fastlane and TestFlight. Spent a fair amount of time on CI caching and test coverage.
Jan 2011 – Present
Founder / Principal Engineer
BranchButler Labs (formerly KJM Productions)
Independent DevOps software practice on AWS — ECS Fargate, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, Datadog, GitHub, and CircleCI. Open-source CircleCI orbs, RubyGems, Swift packages, and CocoaPods.
